BIO: RON HENDERSON
Before becoming a co-founder of the Boston tribute Smokin’, Ron Henderson’s musical adventures kicked in when he played the Hollywood Bowl at age 14 with his Jr. High Jazz Band. While honing his skills during his formative years playing with rock & jazz bands at the best venues on the West Coast, Ron gained additional musical exposure playing tympani & percussion with the Pasadena Philharmonic Orchestra. This experience led to recording and international touring with name acts such as Taste of Honey, Spencer Davis, Leif Garrett, Grass Roots and Steve Vai.
With such a diverse musical background, Ron became the first call session drummer for Moonwind Studios and Chappell Publishing. Ron has played with several of the “A” level tributes on a national level since the mid ‘90’s.
Ron’s powerful, hard hitting style, makes him the perfect player to hold down the steady, rock solid grooves of Boston’s material. More info at rondrum.com.
